At the age of 69, Tony Todd, the legendary actor most recognized for his terrifying performance in Candyman, passed suddenly. Jeffrey Goldberg, his manager, confirmed his passing and recalled Todd as a wonderful, affable man. 
In addition to Candyman, Todd received praise for his parts in the Final Destination television series, The Rock, The Crow, and other Star Trek appearances. His iconic voice was used for a variety of roles, such as Venom in the computer game Spider-Man 2 and Zoom in That Flash.

At the age of 69, Tony Todd, the celebrated actor most remembered for playing the title character in the "Candyman" horror series, died on November 6, 2024. Jeffrey Goldberg, his longtime manager, confirmed his death, but the cause has not been made public. Over 240 film and television credits were part of Todd's illustrious career.
 In addition to "Candyman," he was well-known for his parts in the Vietnam War movie Platoon and Kurn, Worf's brother, among other roles in the Star Trek world. In addition, he voiced characters in Transformers: 
Prime and Young Justice and made prominent cameos in Final Destination and The Young and the Restless. Apart from his involvement in movies, Todd had a close ties to the theater, frequently spending time on stage productions, which he attributed to helping him refine his skills. He compared his Candyman character to a "misunderstood gothic character searching for love" and saw him as a tragic figure.
