Israel strikes Iran in high-stakes retaliation

 Following earlier Iranian missile attacks, which comprised more than 180 ballistic missiles, Israel has significantly escalated its retaliation airstrikes against Iran, targeting military installations. Since Israel wants to retaliate for Iran's actions, which are allegedly linked to ongoing battles involving Hezbollah and Hamas, these strikes have increased regional tensions.

 In order to prevent a wider Middle East conflict, the United States has called for moderation and suggested that any response should be proportionate. 

Iran has hinted that if Israel keeps up its strikes, things could get worse. Report: Israel warned Iran not to respond in a message provided to third parties before of the strike with specifics.
