BYU delivered a stunning 38-9 victory over No. 13 Kansas State, marking a significant upset in their first Big 12 win of the season. After falling behind 6-0 early, the Cougars turned the game around with touchdowns in all three phases—offense, defense, and special teams. Kansas State's momentum quickly stalled as BYU forced three turnovers, including a fumble return for a touchdown by Tommy Prassa and a crucial interception by Tyler Batty just before halftime, leading to a 17-6 halftime lead.

The second half saw BYU dominate further, with a 3- yard touchdown catch by Darius Lassiter and a thrilling 90- yard punt return by Parker Kingston. BYU's defense held strong, limiting Kansas State to just one field goal in the second half, securing the 29- point victory.

This win snapped BYU's five-game losing streak against Big 12 teams and boosted their case for a spot in the Top 25.
