Cruz Azul mounted an impressive comeback to defeat Pachuca 4-2 in their recent match, solidifying their position at the top of Liga MX. Pachuca initially led 2-0 with goals from Sergio Hernández and Salomón Rondón, who capitalized on a defensive error. However, Cruz Azul responded just before halftime with a goal from Giorgos Giakoumakis, igniting their comeback.


The second half saw Cruz Azul take control after Pachuca' Sergio Barreto was sent off.

 Giakoumakis scored again to equalize, followed by a goal from Lorenzo Faravelli that put Cruz Azul ahead. Angel Sepulveda sealed the victory with a late goal, ensuring Cruz Azul finished the match on a high note. 

With this victory, Cruz Azul now has 25 points in the standings, firmly establishing themselves as a dominant force in the league .
