Helene Makes Landfall: 3 Dead, 2 Million Plus Without Power

Hurricane Helene, a powerful Category 4 storm, made landfall near Perry, Florida, bringing with it severe damage.
 At least three people have died as a result of the storm, and over 2 million are without power across Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas. 
The storm, with winds reaching 140 mph, caused significant storm surges and flooding, especially in coastal and low-lying areas.

Two deaths in Georgia were linked to a possible tornado, while another t in Florida was killed by debris. 
Authorities issued emergency declarations in multiple states as Helene continues to move inland, bringing rain, tornado risks, and more power outages as it travels northward. 
Communities in the southeastern U.S. are facing devastating conditions, with some areas receiving up to 14 inches of rain, causing flash flooding.
